Banfield Applied Research & Knowledge
Banfield Applied Research & Knowledge (BARK) is the internal research arm of Banfield, The Pet Hospital®. BARK is responsible for generating data in support of evidence-based medicine by conducting population-based research on medical records from more than 5 million Pets seen annually in Banfield hospitals. Research by the team supports the highest quality veterinary care for Pets using electronic medical data captured in PetWare® (Banfield’s proprietary data/electronic medical records system) for retrospective and prospective research. Research findings are disseminated to Banfield veterinarians, the veterinary profession and consumers through Web-based communications, continuing education events, peer-reviewed publications, white papers and our own Banfield Journal.
