Yep, the anesthesia protocols are great! Having the availability of dexdomitor really makes our life in the clinic much more smooth, especially for those short procedures that can be facilitated with its use. The safety factor of the protocols really make it nice and let us have the confidence to recommend anesthesia to our clients.

Hi Jake -

Thank you so much for sharing your story, and we're glad that the Lynnwood team was there to support you and Titan. We understand how difficult the passing of a Pet is, and we send our condolences to you and your family.

I was with my friend for the last time at Banfields, they made it most comfortable and kind for me thank you to all at Lynnwood. My friend Titan. Titan was my dog to people who didn't really no me. Titan was my best friend to those that knew me most. The best of friend eager to please whatever and where ever are doings.Titan had a good and happy long life, and it wasn't always easy for Titan he had some road bumps in his way like all of us but to him nothing to serious that a good belly rub or chase a stick wouldn't cure.Titan was a yellow lab but not like many, I always have had pets in my life, growing up we mainly had labs but Titan was different and special, this is true and that may sound so cleshia but anyone knew us would agree he was special. I got him right before Christmas 2000 and still remember picking him out, there were five pups all together and when I arrived to meet them all five puppy's ran to the end of the yard to greet their visitor (me) and at the end of the yard there was a small flight of stairs about four or five steeps. All of the pups came to a stop at the top of the stairs except this lighter than usual yellow pup, this pup (Titan) stopped just long enough to look at me then he just leaped out toward me and crashed at the bottom of the steps by my feet. I knew at that moment he was the one And I now now on that very same day he picked me.
We went everywhere together if we weren't together people would ask were is Titan so I began to be recognized as Jake and Titan.A brave dog with no fears accept loosing his favorite squeak toy or maybe running out of kibble he went with me on many adventures and journeys. From as far as southern California to the tip of Washington we were together. His love for the ocean was like no other and just the sound of saying ocean or beach would put him into a playful frenzy. His love for any body of water was obvious.Camping was always welcomed we would usually find a spot on a river and we would find a slow area to play in.He had a ruffing it kind of attitude and as long as there were no ticks around there was no such thing as a bad time to go camping.
My boys Colin and Brendan are the two others that made us a family, Those boys loved Titan and his love for them was endless and unmeasurable. They would play for hours and some times long enough to put them all to sleep right were they stopped.Titan, even though I new about it, he took the blame for many spills and messes and no matter how big or small it was and the boys however harmless as it seemed they liked their reasons and believed I didn't no any better,he would still take the wrap, Titan didn't mind to much because most of the time there was clean up involved and with those two boys that meant food or snacks.
This way of life went on for years and Titan was there for every thing, we shared our birthdays with him and he shared his with us ,sharing as family does together in all of the occasions and moments good or bad its hard to not think of him looking back because he was there with me in almost every memory. Titan helped me the most this year, he saw me through some really hard times of uncertainty and hurt and even though I Still need him I know it was time . He stayed as long as he could and even longer for me.Selfless as he was this time was for him and him alone,I was with him like always but this time he was going to go without me, I know he would want me to go with him but how could a friend ask that of anyone .I didn't know how I should be this was new for me and Titan took that fear away from me with a warmth in his stare and a calm I had never seen in him before.I had my hand on his back just behind and lower from his ears he looked up at me as if he was making sure I was OK and then his last two breaths,it was the second to the last like he was saying one more time I love you and then the last a relief and good by Ill always miss you my friend then he layed still and lifeless he was truly gone.
A couple of minutes had past by and I still had my hands on him, holding him, crying I couldn't hold back my pain and despair from his dying anymore, the heat swelled up in my heart and burned a hurt so big I felt it all the way up into my throat a heavy soul felt sorrow came over me and my entire being wept this hurt that only a loss like this could explain.I was angry now and selfish how could he be gone I need you I cant go anywhere we went together without you I left after saying a few words only he and I will ever know what was said but I will tell everyone that I love him and will miss him and keep him in my heart always.Thank you Titan for your life you gave me a gift every day and I can wait but will invite your playful soul to mine when I lake that journey. Good by Titan I Love you.... Jake Warner...Titan last day 11/17/10
